An updated crank mechanism made as a crankshaft was developed. Its technological stressing as well as its kinetics and statics were analyzed. The safety margin of the stationary axis and of the small-pinion shaft increased by 3.5 and 1.3 times, respectively. At the same time the wear resistance of the bearings remained as before (about a year). The mechanism proposed lowered significantly failure incident of a tube-rolling mill.
