Isolating parts of the electricity grid and certain load networks has become a standard practice in the grid management system nowadays. These isolated sections are configured as islanded Microgrids, and they must sustain their operation based on locally integrated resources like battery systems. In this article, a supervised grid-supporting droop controller is considered for a battery-operated islanded Microgrid. Battery systems are connected to inverters working in parallel to share the load power demand. The proposed supervisory controller achieved synchronization of the parallel inverters, while the droop-based controllers retained their decentralized characteristics and regulated the voltage and frequency of the Microgrid. The obtained results verified the effectiveness of the design in maintaining the power-sharing process even when a disturbance load was subjected to the Microgrid.
