Structure of the Kh21A13 steel (21.4% Cr, 1.28% N) quenched from 1000degreesC was studied. The presence of two structural complexes consisting of the alpha and Cr2N phases in the transformed austenite is shown. The specific features of austenite transformation are discussed, which correspond to two two-phase (alpha + Cr2N) structure types observed.
