The deformation effect over the intercritical temperature range on phase composition, structure and properties of low-carbon steel (08G6N2MAF type) is investigated. It is ascertained that the thermomechanical treatment aids the rise in stability of secondary retained austenite and results in forming a fibriform structure. The impact tests show the improved mechanical properties of thermally deformed steels. The peculiarities of texture forming at different strain temperatures are described.
