In this paper the authors consider the methods of high-quality billets production from the continuous-cast ingots. The experimental investigations of force and cinematic parameters of rectangular ingots setting in a round container were carried out at the Ural State Technical University. The results of the investigations indicate the possibility to remove process deficiencies and to reduce the setting force of the equipment.
