Using several insect species as an example it is shown that there are different degrees of connections between polymorphism and the sex of individuals. Stability and dynamic of sexual differences in of polymorphism are shown within a population as well as between populations. It is established that phenotype and genetic structure of population are dependent on the dynamic of sex ratio. Presented data allow to understand the ways of formation of sexual dimorphism characters under influence of natural selection and selective mating.
