N2 - The application of refinery alloys capable of lowering the oxidation of alloying elements contained in amorphizing alloys (boron, silicon, etc.) is discussed. It is shown that oxide systems that are in contact with silicon carbide for some time during melting are quite effective for this purpose. Such slags lower the oxidity of iron-based alloys. The absorption spectra of solid samples of the slags prepared in this way may qualitatively characterize the degree of interaction between the melt and silicon carbide. The melting and teeming of amorphing alloys using the prepared slags was carried out. Their use not only decreased the waste of alloying elements but increased the quality of the strand as well.
