An universal model proposed for the organization of database access and the designing of a model for the interaction with database management systems (DBMSs) are discussed. The Structured Query Language (SQL) is the standard language for interaction with DBMSs, which solves all database-related problems that arise in the software development. The model must provide easy adaptation to any DBMS and to any SQL dialect without modification of the business logic of the product. SQL query management system should be organized so as to ensure an automatic verification of all SQL constructs at compile time. Query description can be stored in an external file in the XML or some other format. The SQL queries stored in a separate files can be debugged by an expert in a DBMS without any knowledge of the business logic and the programmers responsible for the business logic can release themselves from the specific features of DBMSs.
