A specific mechanism of shear propagation through a boundary of a {112}〈111〉 twin in bcc crystals is suggested; this mechanism does not require the formation of orientation-misfit dislocations, which is usually assumed to be the process that controls the intersection of such boundaries by lattice dislocations.
