A study is made of the influence of ageing programmes on the mechanical properties in tension and the values of the crack resistance parameter K1c of cobalt-free maraging steel 03N18M4TYu. Electron microscopy, electrical resistivity and X-ray diffraction methods are used to analyse the structural changes of the steel during ageing and their relation to the mechanical properties and crack resistance.
