The influence of the total moment of inertia of the rotating driven parts of the pump on the displacement (misalignment) angle is discussed. The thickness of the barrier (screen) between the half-clutches of the magnetic clutch is shown to affect the power loss in the current conducting screen. © 2009 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
