The transparent beryllium ceramics is of great interest due to the possibility of its application for the dosimeters of ionizing radiation of new generation. As shown, the necessary lowering of absorbance of colored beryllium ceramics in UV region (200-350 nm) can be achieved by the heat treatment of the ceramic samples in carbon monoxide or hydrogen reducing media at the temperatures higher than 1700 K during some hours.
