It has been shown, that the world aluminium industry, which uses the Heroult-Hall technique in traditional electrolyzers, comes to greater discrepancy with requirements of ecology and economy. This industrial production is considerably expanded at the expense of its displacement from the developed countries to developing ones. Ways of this technique advance have been discussed due to new designs of superpower, energy-saving, ecologically safe electrolyzers on the basis of resistant structural materials, the higher level of the computer-aided engineering with a feedback. One of the steps is the designing of sensors, which enable to determine composition of anode gases, cryolite-alumina melts, and produced aluminium.
