For a successful operation of a hybrid type Microgrid, power-sharing between AC and DC resources is required to be managed and controlled. Power-sharing functionality is realized through power electronic converters governing the power transition between distributed renewable generators and the grid. In this research, dual droop-based controllers are developed for voltage and frequency regulation of hybrid Microgrid. The Microgrid is equipped with photovoltaic solar panels, a wind turbine generator unit, and a battery system to support its operation, especially when disconnected from the utility grid. Various simulation scenarios are orchestrated by changing the operating conditions and the type of the connected load. The results demonstrated a promising future for such grid structures, particularly for industrial applications. © 2022 IEEE.
