The work is a development of molecular dynamics calculations that have been carried out in order to substantiate the effect of phase transitions in metal-deuterium systems in the course of cold fusion reactions. An attempt is made to determine in the phase diagram of the Pd-D system the region most favourable to cold nuclear fusion.
