The article presents a comparative analysis of traffic in the Panama Canal, Suez Canal, Kerch Strait. The results are based on the use of primary information on the number of ships passing through the selected sea straits in one hour from March 1 to March 31, 2021; the data were automatically extracted from the corresponding public online maps posted on the Internet. Further, the primary information was transformed into the corresponding time series (Equation presented), the values of which were equal to the number of ships that passed the Panama, the Suez Canals, and the Kerch Strait in the forward and backward directions within one hour. The results of the study of statistical and dynamic properties made it possible to conclude that the time series (Equation presented) are stationary random sequences. These sequences have the limited scattering area and contain the periodic components with the periods of ≈ 15, ≈ 14 and ≈ 7 days, respectively. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
