This article is devoted to the specificity of pedagogical activity of Russian naval officers, who were in North Africa as refugees in 1920th. The attention is focused on an attempt of renaissance in emigration of some elements of naval education system, connected with functioning of naval corps in Bizerte (Tunisia). The source of this research is memoirs of naval corps lecturers and other Russian emigrants, who lived in Tunisia in the beginning of 1920th. It is the first time when the special attention is paid to peculiarities of upbringing work in Russian military school in immigrant conditions. It is shown what methods were organized in the educational process and how to save material-technical and methodological base. Along with this point the article shows the complications were faced by the administration and academic staff (limited financial base, pressure of French government and etc.). This paper also characterizes the reasons and historical conditions of the corps closing in 1925. The research conducted by the authors has shown that in 1920th being refugees the Russian naval officers tried to save elements of staff training system and to bring the youth up in Russian military school style and devotion to their homeland typical for imperial Russia. The knowledge allowed graduates of naval corps to enter prestigious universities of European countries, to find place in new life situations.
