The article is devoted to the substantiation of approaches to the design of approximate work programs on the profiles of labor training for learners with mild mental retardation in grades 6-9. The features concerning the content of the following main components of approximate work programs are shown in detail: an explanatory note, training content, planned learning outcomes and thematic planning. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of the relationship between the mandatory structural components of approximate work programs.
