The paper is devoted to the concept of non-linear dynamics of educational communities as a theoretical basis for the sociological study of social anomalies of educational communities development in the megalopolis under the conditions of social uncertainty. Two types of social processes that reflect the nonlinear dynamics of the educational communities in the Russian megalopolis are characterized. Attention is paid to the ambiguous influence of the education management on functioning and development of Russian educational system in the context of social turbulence. Educational communities are presented as a subjective factor that has “ultra-weak” impact on the educational system. The levelling importance of this factor leads to educational simulacra, paradoxical motivation, educational mankurtism, and other anomalous phenomena and processes.
