The article raises the issue of becoming a young specialist in the field of education. The relevance of this area of research is substantiated. The results of the analysis of scientific literature on the problem under consideration are presented. It was revealed that neither in foreign nor in domestic literature there is a consensus on the terminology used. The importance of pedagogical support for the process of becoming a young specialist in the profession is especially emphasized. A personalized approach is considered as the most effective in terms of ensuring a “comfortable entry” into the profession and accompanying the development of young people in professional activities. The main elements of a personalized approach are highlighted. In its implementation, the emphasis is placed on the personality of each novice teacher, on the difficulties that he has to face. Taking into account personal qualities and abilities, personal goals, potential and deficits makes it possible to more effectively organize the work on adapting young teachers to the modern requirements of the educational environment, the digital society, self-development and self-improvement in the educational field. In conclusion, contradictions are highlighted, the resolution of which will be the focus of the further work of the authors.
