This article presents research that may be of interest to European teachers (including Russian teachers) who teach or are going to teach Chinese as a foreign language in the future. It is important for teachers to understand how to properly teach students Chinese. Teaching each language entails a special responsibility, which must be understood by a teacher teaching a foreign language as a separate subject. To improve the process of learning Chinese as a foreign language, research was conducted. After conducting long-term research and applying practical knowledge, a large number of problems were identified in teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Russia. Some of these problems are related both to the educational material that is often used by teachers, and are related to the timely professional development of teachers, the level of proficiency and language and the accuracy of the use of these skills. The identification of this situation in the education market shows how relevant this topic is for teachers in Russia and abroad. In this article, the problems will be carefully considered and analyzed. Tips will also be provided on how to solve existing problems in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and some methods will be given to improve the learning process in order to create the right environment for students and teachers who like to learn Chinese and Chinese culture. The article will help everyone to get acquainted with the problems and their methods of solution.
