The article dwells on the main approaches to the formation of patriotic behavior models in wartime conditions on the example of the Soviet and German military discourse in the beginning of the twentieth century. The category of patriotic behavior is viewed in the cultural, philosophical, historical and sociological tradition as a way of improving socially approved behavior and society transformation. The article is aimed at revealing speech mechanisms of influencing an individual and modeling his/her behavior. The comparison of speech interactions in the Russian and German languages during World War II, included in the social and cultural context, gives ground for psychological and linguistic basis of perception of such models and describes their role in individual behavior in wartime conditions, when a person is faced by choice. The psycholinguistic basis for perception of such models and their role in individual behavior is given. The results of the undertaken research show the effectiveness of approaches to the formation of behavioral model. These approaches are based on the methods of linguistic analysis and can be applied not only to political and sociological research, but can be also used by practical psychologists and experts who work in the sphere of up-bringing and correction of deviant behavior. The models under analysis preserve their significance even if some of their aspects are criticized; they can be used as basic methods of speech influence in modern conditions.
