Relationship has been reviewed between independent assessment of professional skill and another, prevalent forms of human resource assessment, such as attestation and certification. The comparative study results in finding that both assessment forms can coexist fairly well. The author considers the personnel certification practice as redundant, and as such, its retention is unnecessary.
