The conditions for billet treatment in all deforming units are considered. Effective minimization of power is shown to be possible when changing a design of continuous rolling block, controlling a rolling speed regime and an arbitrary regime of link-chain support. The minimization of rolling power in continuous block is reduced to following; provision of maximum-high temperature at the strip input into rolling block; rational roll pass design; control of interstand stretch regime; optimization of gear ratios set fro drive of each stand.
