Meander shape microstructures are wildly used as elements of magnetoresistive and magnetoimpedance (MI) sensors. The MI effect of «microstip line» and N-shaped meanders’ structures was studied in both longitudinal (LMI) and transversal (TMI) configurations. LMI effect reaches 180% that is considerably higher than it is in case of ribbons of the same size (5mm) without micro-structuring.
