The article offers an analysis and an interpretation of the fragment 246b6-c7 from “Phaedrus” of Plato. The ambiguity of the word choice in this fragment conceals some important peculiarities of the concept of the soul in ancient Platonism. These peculiarities make one doubt the similarity between Platonic and Christian (“atomistic” according to Nietzsche) concepts of the soul.
