Basic problem of learning a foreign language, especially English, is studying grammar, its forms and constructions. This problem is still topical nowadays because knowledge of grammar rules and ability to use them right in speech is the basis of all the other aspects of learning and using the language. Without grammar it is impossible to use lexis in full scope, to understand information properly while reading, to express your thoughts in the writing form correctly. This article analyses common problems preventing students and adults (university teachers) from memorizing grammar material and ways to overcome this problem. Manipulative gaming activity is seen as one of the most effective ways to solve these problems. The article shows the types of manipulative gaming activity and their impact on the process of acquiring necessary grammatical information. Also we have conducted a research in order to define the efficiency of grammar games in teaching foreign language. Research results showed that grammar games are beneficial for acquiring information and for ability to reproduce the forms and constructions required in speech.
