The article provides analysis of the relationship between the quality of the Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra students social capital and the level of their subjective well-being. The research methodology is based on the application of the P. Bourdieu’s theory of capital to the consideration of social well-being. The study was conducted as a mass survey of university students in the Khanty- Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Y ugra on quota sample. It was arranged in the spring of 2022 under the guidance of Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor P. V. Zasypkin. The sample size was 2358 students, the marginal sampling error does not exceed 2%. The social capital of the family appears to be one of the basic foundations for the subjective well-being of students. In addition, the essential component of subjective well-being is the collective capital in the educational sphere and the inclusion in the professional community after graduation in the process of professional self-realization and professional growth. The measuring of the existing barriers in the implementation of educational activities and the professional development of students is a key factor influencing the subjective well-being of students and adjusting the directions of the educational policy of the university.
