The article devoted to the use of cloud technologies in the construction industry. The purpose of the article is to develop the theoretical foundations of the cloud information and design environment, which involves managing the process of interaction between participants of investment and construction projects based on cloud technologies. The article presents a generalized semantic model «entity - relationship» for the subject area of research. The factors determining the functioning of the cloud information and design environment are specified. The practical value of the research lies in the fact that the theoretical foundations of the cloud information and design environment can be used in the development of appropriate software, the implementation of which in project activities will optimize management in the system of interaction of participants in investment and construction projects.
