Energy saving technologies and the use of renewable energy sources are the priority issues for engineers and builders. This article presents a new facade design - the multilayer facade panel with a ventilated air gap for energy efficient buildings with a complex of renewable energy sources. A ventilated gap formed by a supporting frame of perforated profi les is used as a channel for the movement of warm and dried exhaust air. The outer layer of the facade panel can be designed with an additional layer of thin film solar panels. The use of multilayer facade panels significantly reduces the consumption of thermal energy for heating and ventilation of the building.
