Existing approaches to the low-frequency balancing of flexible rotors, which are used to more correctly compensate for the initial imbalances, are considered. It is indicated that the rotor balancing method, taking into account the rotor mode shapes theory , is the most universal and allows to achiev e high quality balancing of both new and repaired rotors . The experience of this method applying and their advantages in the conditions of an energy repair enterprise are described.
