The article is based on the ideas of media psychology, which develop the problem of information security. Particular attention is paid to modern cartoons as the most common media products for children. The authors of this article systematize the results of the study of on such features of modern cartoons as a large number of violence, their unrealistic display, the absence of scenes of the victim's sufferings, the aggressive desires of the hero disguised with humor. The article contains the review of modern domestic and foreign studies of the influence of cartoons on the children's audience. The authors propose the conditions for the formation of information security. At the social (social) level, such conditions can be the development and implementation of socio-psychological expertise of media products, the involvement of public opinion. At the internal (personal) level, media education plays an important role, within the framework of which it is possible to form an information immunity, which includes such areas as media analytics and media practice. In conclusion the authors notice that these directions on analysis of the information environment require activity of various professionals: educators, parents, lawyers, psychologists, experts in the field of mass communication and representatives of public activities. In this case, the formation of immunity information in the framework of media education as a more local task can become quite accessible to a modern education.
