Currently, not only and not so much knowledge as a certain set of competencies is considered as the goal of preparing students at the university. In connection with the emergence of new Federal state educational standards in the training of psychologists, it is relevant to consider training from the standpoint of a competent approach. The aim of this work is an empirical comparison of the traditional approach to training psychologists with training based on individual educational technologies. Comparison for universal competencies is carried out with self-organization and self-development. The article presents a competence-based approach to the training of psychologists in the aspect of individual educational trajectories. Individual educational trajectories are compared to traditional learning. An empirical study of the relationship between learning according to individual educational trajectories and the formation of universal competencies of self-organization and self-development in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education 3 ++ was carried out. The formation of these competencies is described. The efficiency of the technology is shown Conclusions. 1) The competencies associated with self-organization and self-development, in order to be fixed in the process of training psychologists, need to be concretized and operationalized in measurable terms. These indicators can serve as the time that students spend on various activities related to self-development. 2) Individual educational trajectories as a technology of effective traditional technology («educational tube») in the aspect of the formation of universal competencies associated with self-organization and self-development in psychologists.
