The paper considered the forms of support for patients with diseases, including those caused by primary immunodeficiencies, by charitable foundations (based on materials from the Sverdlovsk region). The relevance of this study lies in the need to analyze the activities of charitable foundations in the healthcare sector to identify problems that exist at the present stage of their development, to identify the possibilities of regional charitable foundations. The subject of the study focused on different support models offered by charitable foundations to patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases. Attention is drawn to the deficiencies in the legal framework governing the charitable organizations caring for patients with orphan diseases, affecting their standard of living. The prospects for the development of healthcare charities functioning in the Sverdlovsk region are assessed, with a particular focus on expanding their area of responsibility from assisting individuals towards supporting healthcare institutions. The analysis showed that there are problems not only within the region, but also at the federal level. The interaction of non-profit organizations with government agencies in the healthcare sector is influenced by various adverse organizational factors. Support from regional authorities helps NGOs. Despite the difficulties, the activities of charitable foundations in the health sector operating in the Sverdlovsk region can be assessed positively.
