The problem of bullying in the relations between modern teenagers is investigated using the main provisions of the theory of egoism culture. It is noted that in their works psychologists and teachers, considering bullying in educational organizations, describe the socio-psychological characteristics of people involved in various forms of mental and physical violence. Aggressive behavior is not analyzed from a sociological standpoint as a way of manifestation of the culture of selfishness in adolescents. Drawing on the materials of a 2023 empirical study among teenagers aged 13-15 in urban and rural schools of the Sverdlovsk region, the peculiarities of the manifestation of this culture in this form of aggressive behavior were revealed. The method of questionnaires and in-depth interviews was used. The questionnaire found out the opinion of schoolchildren on two groups of questions aimed at identifying attitudes to mental and physical violence. The first includes various insults, intimidation, threats, emotional manifestation of anger, hatred. The second is expressed in the use of physical force, sharp, stabbing and other objects that pose a danger to human health and life. The survey showed that in every class there are teenagers who skillfully choose those who can be insulted, humiliated, intimidated, boycotted. 64 % of respondents have a negative attitude to mental violence. Among those who adhere to this position, 56 % of boys and 70 % of girls. 70 % strongly condemn physical violence, 62 % of boys, 77 % of girls. 11 % allow such behavior in case of forced defense. 1.5 % openly stated that it is possible to use force to maintain their own authority. It is shown that in adolescence there is a division into those who, showing a tendency to aggressive behavior, acquire the skill of consciously using it to demonstrate their superiority. This is manifested not in their studies, but in the ability to force some to obey by mental and physical violence, while others to be afraid to actively resist the culture of selfishness in the school setting.
