The article is devoted to the study of ecological and digital competencies. The purpose of the article is to compare ecological competence with digital competencies. According to the authors of the article, ecological competence, in its new understanding, can become not only a compensatory mechanism in connection with the requirements and risks of communication in the digital space, but also become the personal basis of digital ecology. The article presents the results of a study of the content of the concept of "digital ecology", a conclusion is drawn about the level of mastery of concepts within the framework of the studied competencies.
