The work examines the problem of determining the economic efficiency of activities connected with heat insu lation of houses. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents of various periods that determined the requirements towards the heat technological characteristics of housing construction, the work defines the dependence of heat energy losses from filler structures on the number of floors. It calculates specific investments into heat insulation and analyzes the dependencies between the payback period of heat insulation activities and the number of floors.
