The article considers the possibility of estimating the value of rotor systems damping by the width of the resonant peak. Based on the results of the study, the limitations of the method were determined, which include the design of the rotors and bearings, the ratio of the rotor and supports stiffness, the level of supports damping. It is concluded that the method can be used to determine the damping parameters of intersupport rotor systems on magnetic bearings.
