The purpose of the publication was to study the processes of popularization of the Russian language in modern media. The study of forms and methods of representation of linguistic popular science content in the media is due to the need to promote the theoretical knowledge and language skills among native speakers. The article identifies the most popular linguistic phenomena that have become the subject of publications, analyzes the structure of materials and thematic focus. The work results in a classification of topics and forms of representation, highlighting the most extraordinary approaches.
