Social changes of the 20-21 century, which led to the transformation of various social institutions, including family and marriage, as well as negative demographic processes associated with a decline in the birth rate in the developed countries of the world, were in the focus of attention of Russian and Western scientists. A new interdisciplinary field of knowledge has emerged - familistic, uniting the efforts of sociology, economics, psychology, anthropology, social policy, and other social and human sciences to study the phenomenon of the family. At the same time, empirical studies on the family and related categories are conducted hundreds of times more often than theoretical studies. Marriage and partnership, parenthood and childlessness, household and publicity/privacy, and much more are explored, which allows the development of family discourse in society. However, the insufficient number of theoretical attempts to comprehend what is happening makes the future development of this branch of knowledge slim and reduces its significance. Within the framework of the axiological approach, the necessary interaction between theory and practice becomes possible, therefore the subject of this article is the familistic approaches to children in the course of axiology.
