The active development of the sharing economy based on digital platforms contributes to the formation of special consumer practices, characterized by a shift in priorities from personal permanent possession of goods to access to them. The relevance of the study of online platforms users is due to the dissonance between the growth of the sharing market and the small amount of Russian research devoted to the study of participants in collaborative consumption. The article presents the results of a survey among users of online collaborative consumption platforms. The purpose of the study was to identify the motivation and satisfaction of users, their assessments of the risks and prospects of collaborative consumption. The results of the study showed the predominance of utilitarian motives of using online platforms. These motives are the following: saving resources - money and time; a wide range of functional conveniences that reduce the cost of searching for goods and services; the possibility of obtaining additional income. The main risks according to users' assessments are ensuring the security of the transaction, the quality of goods, and the online reputation of the interacting parties. User satisfaction and their intentions for further use of online co-consumption platforms are quite high. Half of the surveyed users of online platforms are ready to give up personal possession of a car, means of personal mobility, appliance, things of single use in favor of joint use in the next 5 years. Economic instability, according to the assessments of most users, will increase the demand for collaborative consumption of goods and services. The obtained results can be useful for researchers of consumer practices in the digital economy, as well as for specialists analyzing barriers and drivers of collaborative consumption development to improve the functionality of online platforms.
