This article is an attempt to carry out philosophical analysis of the «life choice» concept. Reconstruction of conditions providing our participation in decision lays down a basis for revealing the fallacy of its understanding as achievement in accordance with a standard or as conformity with living conditions. The «involvement» context, which supposes common life questions’ sphere of everyone around us, seems to be more adequate for understanding of decision (demonstrating its principled conflict).
