Jean-Louis Favier (1710 or 1717-1784), Secret Agent of King adventurer and a bad reputation, one of the finest connoisseurs of diplomacy of the second half of the eighteenth century. In 1761 he wrote his "Remarks on Russia," a masterpiece of political analysis. Visionary, he foresees the fall of the Ottoman empire, announces the partitions of Poland leading to the political demise of the country, finally, why Elisabeth, daughter of Peter the Great, wishes to integrate East Prussia in his empire.
