The use of to-quality and charging sludges as well as nonbalancing bauxites in the metallurgical practice is discussed. It is indicated that their application as the in expensive raw material results in energy saving since there is no need for the special carbon-containing materials (coke, coal) to reduce iron. The wastes of ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy are utilized simultaneously with a purpose of cement production. The features of charge material preparation and smelting are discussed.
