The paper is devoted to investigation of motion of coal in a vertical channel (composed of two vertical rows of directing inclined plates) in a fluidized bed. Experimental dependences of the velocity of motion, surface area, and perimeter of the vertical cross section of the portion of coal on the slope angle of plates, channel width, volume and diameter of particles of the portion of coal, and fluidization number are obtained.
