Helium diffusion coefficient and helium solubility in VT1-0 titanium were determined by measuring gas release at 570K and saturation vapour pressure of 7 atm. Experimentally obtained kinetic curve of degaussing was analyzed on the basis of Fick equation. Experimental and calculated results showed a satisfactory agreement. This makes it possible to conclude that the phenomenon observed is conditioned by the release of helium earlier dissolved in titanium volume. It was shown that in helium-titanium system at 570K thermodynamic equilibria may be reached for 10h, specimen thickness being 1 mm.
