The test of the bus duct for electrodynamic withstand at short-circuit currents is a mandatory qualification test for the introduction of a new product into mass production. To avoid the costs of repeated expensive tests, excessive material consumption of the busbar, it is advisable to simulate this test. The paper presents the results of a model study with power transformer - bus duct - load system in Elcut software during three-phase and two-phase short circuit. A comparative analysis of the obtained simulation results with the results of calculation by the analytical method is presented, the calculation and modelling are correlated with factory test data. In the Elcut model the three-phase, two-phase short circuit mode is implemented using the associated non-stationary problem of magnetic field and the problem of elasticity theory.
