The rheological properties of the melts produced from poly(ethylene-co- vinyl acetate) EVA-15, EVA-25, and co-polyamide 6/66/610 (CPA) in their mixtures with polysaccharides such as starch and chitosan, were investigated. The shear viscosity of EVA-starch melts was determined at the temperature 110 - 160°C and for the CPA-chitosan at 140 - 170°C. The melt viscosity was measured with the capillary micro-viscosimeter in a broad region of shear stress and rates. The numerical magnitude of the shear viscosity of all the blends copolymer-polysaccharide was similar indicating that it is typical for synthetic polymers melts.
