Series of computing experiments were performed to model random packing of spherical particles. Known algorithms of dense packing were modified to optimize density characteristics. Local density distribution in random packing of spherical particles was studied. The effect of boundary condition for density characteristics was determined, and the boundary distortion zone size was assessed. The means of control for integral density of spherical particles packing, and distribution of local density within it, were developed. These means were based upon the concept of density characteristics as of the correlation functions of sizes and number of particles in a fraction and in a mixture.
