The possibility of improving the output voltage of a three-level IGCT inverter at low switching frequency by pulsewidth modulation with the elimination of selected harmonics is considered. The effectiveness of this method is illustrated for the example of two inverters connected to the grid through a three-winding transformer, with a star/delta configuration of the secondary windings. © 2006 by Allerton Press, Inc.
